Happy Annibirthsary to Love The Bad Guy!

One year ago, today, dear readers, I had an idea. A crazy, out-of-the-blue, unexpected idea that clung to my brain and screamed for admittance into reality.

I decided to start a blog.

I went to WordPress.com and began to read the step-by-step instructions — gibberish, to me — and then floundered my way along the path to forming my own little corner of the World Wide Web.

“Title” was a stumbling block. I don’t even want to admit how long I stared at that blank fill-in box before coming up with that final, ultimate idea.

And then I typed in those fateful words:

“Love The Bad Guy”

The rest, as they say, is history.

This past year, I’ve written 142 posts. I’ve made many new Internet Friends and discovered some glorious blogs. I’ve found new inspiration and written more stories than I knew existed in my brain. I accepted the challenge of Inspiration Monday and started my own segment called Why I Love That Bad Guy.

Who could have ever known that writing a blog could be so utterly, unbelievably wonderful?

Today is my blog’s first anniversary. Or birthday. Heck with it.

This week has been amazing for milestones. I celebrated reaching 10,000 views. That same day, my blog gained over 101 followers. And here we are, celebrating Blog’s First Annibirthsary. I do hope he likes his new look — I picked it out especially for him.

(And yes, my blog is apparently a “he”…)

Finally, I just want to give my heartfelt thanks to you all. If it weren’t for your comments, your “likes” and your encouragement, my blog would never have gotten off the ground, and I would never have known how many others like me were in the world — people who can appreciate the sheer awesomeness of anti-heroes, villains and bad guys!
