Morning, readers! Day 17 of the BlogFlash2012 Challenge here, and it’s an inverted etheree today. I’m sure you’re not surprised that it is a rather dark lil’ story, but for those of you wondering, it is based around the idea of safety coffins. (Good ol’ Wikipedia can fill you in, if you’ve never heard of them.)
The first challenge can be found here.
..Graveyard..
He buried his daughter on a Tuesday.
Cholera took her, like so many
others. He stared at the bell, as
cold as Death itself, cruelly
motionless. He left, but
would regret this when
his return found
the bell on
its side.
Rung.

How macabre – and how excellent! Thank you so much for sharing!
Read it and wept. Have you ever thought about collaborating with an artist and turning your bits n’ pieces into animated shorts? They would be wonderful!
Woah, that would be amazing — and weird! If only I had an animator friend.
Super amazing… And weird… In an awesome, blown-mind kind of way. If I had the skills and the tools I totally would. Well actually, I could put a display together of my/your illustrations to your pieces and record your voice reading the lines and adding in sound FX. Yes, that I can do! (If you ever felt like taking it a step further for the fun of it)
