I believe that we have already covered the fact that a book about my life would be rather boring. A book whose main character was essentially me would probably not be much better, so I’m going to emphasise the key word in today’s challenge: MOST. Most like you.

So my response is: Melkorka, from Hush: An Irish Princess’ Tale by Donna Jo Napoli, because I, too, was kidnapped by Vikings and made to be their slave for the rest of time.
Or not.
Actually, Melkorka reminded me of myself because, once captured by slave traders and brought upon their ship, she heeds her mother’s previous advice and doesn’t say a word. Her silence essentially saves her life, and the story continues (it’s a good book, by the way). Her natural instinct, to remain silent and unobtrusive, is reflective of my own quiet nature.
(P.S. You all may have noticed that the main character I’ve chosen is female, and hence, uncovers a fact about myself that I’ve never explicitly stated. WELL, thanks to all you lovely people out their in computer-world, my confidence has grown, and I no longer feel the need to mask myself beneath a wholly anonymous persona. If you head on over to my updated About page, you’ll see some information about little ol’ me. Thanks for reading!)
